A door-to-door app that keeps working when the signal drops.

The signal drops exactly where the doors are. Lepanto keeps the knock on the phone and sends it when the signal is back.

A team member’s map on a phone, ready to start the day

Every turf saves itself to the phone

Every turf a canvasser works saves itself while there is signal: the street map, the doors and the door card. With none, they knock the same as online.

Offline maps on a phone: every turf saved by itself and ready offline, with its size

No knock is lost, and none is counted twice

Every knock is written to the phone first and goes out on its own when the signal is back. A knock sent twice is kept once, at the time it happened.

The door card on a phone: a door logged with a note and the answers

Weak signal, not just no signal

One bar is often worse than none. Lepanto gives up on the network after a few seconds, keeps the knock, and lets the canvasser move on.

Without signal the map is the saved street view. Satellite and the other map styles need a connection.

Questions

Questions people ask first.

Next door on a phone: the nearest door left, a few meters away
Does it need an app from the app store to work offline?

No. The team opens Lepanto from a link and adds it to the home screen, on iPhone and Android.

How much does a saved turf take on the phone?

A few megabytes: the phone lists each saved turf with its size.

What if two people knock the same door offline?

Both are kept. The door shows the latest one.
